Dr. Serdar Bora Bayraktaroğlu
Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon
Dr. Serdar Bora Bayraktaroğlu graduated from the English Medicine Program of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2005. He completed his residency in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital between 2005 and 2011. During this period, he also received extensive training in microsurgery and hand surgery at the same clinic.
In January 2009, he successfully completed a six-month facial aesthetics fellowship at The Facial Paralysis Institute in Los Angeles, USA. His specialist thesis in plastic surgery focused on microvascular surgery, and since 2011, he has been practicing as a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon.
Dr. Bayraktaroğlu is currently pursuing doctoral studies in the field of stem cells within the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering at Yeditepe University. He possesses academic-level knowledge and experience in regenerative medicine and cellular therapies. He closely follows current developments in aesthetic surgery, anti-aging, and medical aesthetics both nationally and internationally, contributing to the field through scientific and clinical work. He is also a member of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
In addition to his medical expertise, Dr. Serdar Bora Bayraktaroğlu is noted for his intellectual pursuits. He has a deep interest in philosophy and gastronomy and is continuously developing himself in these areas. Photography, both as a hobby and a means of creative expression, plays a significant role in his life.
His first book, Filtresiz Bir Dünya Mümkün (A Filterless World is Possible) published in 2024 by Doğan Publishing, presents a thought-provoking journey on the concept of aesthetics, human perception, and the modern world’s approach to beauty. The book was met with great interest by a wide audience. Dr. Bayraktaroğlu is currently working on his second book, aiming to further deepen his multidisciplinary perspective that blends science, aesthetics, and philosophy within the literary field.

Not to mention endless number of historical places, you can find modern artgalleries, exhibitions, festivals, museums, special events in this city-alive each day. But even walking in the streets might be a pleasure, since each corner opens up to another fabulous structure dating back to hundreds of years before today.
